 Schools in Sri Lanka will be reopened from Monday the 23nd.



The Ministry of Education has decided to open schools in Sri Lanka on Monday 23nd November.  However, schools in the city of Colombo and other locked areas will continue to be closed indefinitely and the third term of schools will start only for students in grades 6 to 13.


The government has entrusted the school staff with the responsibility of maintaining schools following the relevant health guidelines to ensure that children and school staff are not infected with the Kovid-19 virus and the government has published a set of hygienic procedures to be followed by children for this purpose.



🔴 Keep the distance between two people at least meter. 


🔴 Be sure to provide children with home-cooked food.

🔴 Carry a bottle of water from home for drinking.

🔴 Give the child an antiseptic liquid and give them  proper understanding of how to use it.

🔴 It is mandatory to wear a suitable face mask when going to school.
